Bong Joon-Ho's masterpiece - his brilliance lies in making a movie that is humane out of this a barbarous topic. The ending will bring tears into your eyes. This is excellent!!!

Back in October 1986, two women are found raped and killed in a ditch near a field. Seo Tae-yoon, a detective from Seoul, volunteers to support them. But Park's techniques clash and he and they get into a fight in a party. Seo discusses Baek's hands and deems them feeble and scarred to have the ability to commit such an elaborate offence, clearing his name.
After more murders have been committed, they see that the killer waits until a rainy night and kills women wearing red. In the newest crime scene, Park, Cho and Seo all appear at investigating in various ways, but then the local man arrives, pulls out undergarments, and masturbates in a female's red lingerie. Cho accidentally steps prompting the guy to perform.

Park and Cho continue their strategy and brutally beat the man. Afterwards tracing rumours around the local faculty with the help of 19, Seo finds a survivor of the killer. Upon learning that the killer's hands had been soft, Seo handles to clear the person as his hands have become rigorous. Until Kwon alerts them the song the murderer requested is acting Park and Seo scuffle. They realize it's raining and arrive to obtain the other woman. Seo and park and Cho opt to all work together.

In the long run, the crimes remain unsolved. While visiting the crime scene years later in 2003, Park Doo-man, now a businessman, learns by a girl the spectacle had been seen by another, as yet not known with ordinary' face. The little girl had asked the person why he looked at the ditch and had been told that he reminisced about something he'd done there a long time. As Park looks straight at the camera with his way to spot the killer the film finishes.
